This lot comes from the Primavera farm in the El Pital region of Huila, Colombia, cultivated by experienced producer Williar Joven. It is made entirely from the Pink Bourbon variety, a visually striking and highly prized heirloom known for its delicate sweetness, vibrant fruit notes, and balanced structure. The cherries are carefully handpicked at peak ripeness and fully washed, a process that enhances clarity and highlights the varietal’s natural brightness. The result is a clean, expressive cup with notes of white peach, satsuma, and apple blossom, layered with juicy malic acidity and a subtle floral finish. This is the first time Sweven has had the pleasure of working with Williar, and we are thrilled to bring you one of our favourite varietals prepared with a washed process for maximum clarity and vibrancy. It’s a celebration of both the farm’s unique terroir and the exceptional skill of its producer.
Williar Joven is an experienced coffee farmer who has managed the Primavera farm for over 34 years. Together with his wife, he oversees several farms, including Finca Le Ceya and La Batalla. Williar has invested in cultivating a diverse range of coffee varieties, but this particular lot is made entirely from the Pink Bourbon variety. He takes great pride in seeing his coffee exported and enjoyed by coffee lovers around the world. Situated in Colombia’s Huila department, one of the country’s most productive coffee regions, his farms benefit from the nutrient-rich soils shaped over time by the Nevado del Huila volcano. This unique terroir provides ideal conditions for coffee cultivation. Huila is recognised with its own designation of origin and produces coffees celebrated for their vibrant acidity, balanced body, and intense sweetness.
